Panther Pride: A Pledge Drive to Benefit the Technology Fund at Helen C. Peirce Elementary

Dear Peirce Families and Friends,

We have exciting news to share!  Friends of Peirce is launching a pledge drive to support the Technology Fund at Perice.  The school's goal is to secure state-of-the-art technology that will benefit students in all grades.

We are in the middle of an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise money for five areas identified in the School Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement (SIPAAA).  One of the primary goals of SIPAAA is to raise $62,000 for technology enhancements.  Friends of Peirce was able to donate $20,000 toward that goal using proceeds from a community event we held in September 2010.

Now we turn to parents, relatives and friends of students.  We are asking parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to make a gift to Friends of Peirce to support the Technology Fund.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 by October 31, 2011.  Make a donation in an amount that is most comfortable for you and your family.  No amount is too small!  you can pledge today and pay later.  You can pay all at once or give a little every month.  Just imagine:  if we were to receive just $10 for each student enrolled at Peirce, we would nearly reach our goal.

Your gift will be used to help ensure our students have the necessary tools for improving their proficiency and competence in computer literacy.  It will be used to give teachers the tools they need in a modern classroom.  We want Perice to be an the cutting edge of technological innovations.  You can help to make that happen!

Sincerely,
Kim Biggs and Cara Rudolph
