Peirce Family Reading Night--Hawaiian Luau

The Peirce Family Reading Night event was spectacular!  We had many parents, students and teachers in attendance!  Everyone received a Hawaiian Lei upon entering our school and students were able to participate in many literacy activities that were tied to our Hawaiian theme.  Thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers and book donors, students were able to choose free books and movie videos to take home.

We would like to thank Ms. Hopkins and Ms. Jump for organizing the event and would like to thank Ms. Puente and Mrs. Lawrenz for putting together the upper grades Poetry Slam.  We have true poets in the making :-)

A distinctive thank you goes out to the North Shore Kiwanis Club and Women and Children First who partnered in supporting literacy development for all of our students at Peirce.
