Going GREEN for Peirce! Environmental rebate and fundraising program

Dear Friends,

Introducing two exciting programs that will save you money, raise funds for our school, and help the environment! 

The first program is FREE and will save you money on your electric and water bills.  The second program is heavily discounted and will pay for itself by reducing your heating and cooling bills. 

As long as you are a customer of Peoples Gas, you can participate in either or both!  Here is a quick review of each program:

#1 - Direct Install Program

Peoples Gas and ComEd will help you save money by installing energy saving products – FREE OF CHARGE. You call, and they will install energy-saving Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFL’s) and water-saving faucet aerators and showerheads.  You can also encourage your neighbors to sign up!  For every household that signs up for this free program and notes that our school referred them, we earn a $3.50 rebate.

Call 877-803-3674 to schedule your free installation. You must call by the middle of April to earn the school rebate. In most cases, the installation will happen within 1-2 weeks of your call.  When scheduling your appointment, please make sure the scheduler logs our school’s name.

#2 - Attic Insulation Program

The Attic Insulation Program offers you and your neighbors a 75% rebate on an installation, or up to $850. So, for example, if your attic costs $800 to insulate, it’ll cost you only $200 after the rebate.   Over time, you’ll make that money back (and more) through lower cooling and heating bills.  AND our school earns a $20 rebate for each attic insulated!

For the Attic Insulation Program, you can do the insulation yourself or hire a professional.  The installation must be completed by May 31.  After it is installed, apply for your personal rebate online here: http://www.conservationrebates.com/programs/chi/CHI_App.aspx.  Then, after you submit your personal rebate, fill out a short form here to ensure that our school gets its $20 rebate: www.chicagolandrebates.com/participantregistration.

Again, you can participate in one or both programs. Spread the word – get your neighbors, family and friends to sign up for either program and help our school earn as large a rebate as possible.
